Reasons for counselling.

Counselling is not just for those who are struggling with complex mental health concerns. If you are struggling to maintain and manage your mental health, because of your reasons for Counselling support is here.

So why do people access mental health support? Counselling is for anyone who feels unable to discuss their internalised thoughts and feelings with those closest to them. 

Examples are.

Work related

Family or relationship problems

Decision-making or potential life changes

Childhood experiences

Bereavement

Family dynamics

Stress, including high functioning.

Anxiety, depression, low mood or self-esteem.

So why do people choose Counselling?

Sometimes our reasons for Counselling can include situations and scenarios involving those closest to us.Choosing to confide in those who already have knowledge or opinion on your reasons for Counselling can create feelings of frustration, anxiety, and feeling unheard and unseen as you try to openly and honestly express yourself. In the Counselling room, you can discuss your reasons for Counselling and be met with empathy understanding and no opinions judgement or advice. It is your space to say how you feel and what you think in your own way and in your own time. It is a time and space just for you where your thoughts feelings I’m reasons for Counselling or seen heard and validated.

Can I bring more than one reason to Counselling?

Yes, you can.
